Shostakovich Complete String Quartets

The Lauttasaari Music Festival is an international event focused primarily on music composed for string quartet. The festival’s permanent goal is to present the best Finnish chamber music from the post-Sibelius era, as well as global gems of string quartet music spanning 300 years.

Quatuor Danel’s survey of the complete string quartets of Dmitri Shostakovich and Mieczysław Weinberg, launched at Wigmore Hall in 2019, draws to a close this evening.
