Concentus Moraviae is an annual international classical, jazz and folk music festival held in the towns of the Vysočina and South Moravian regions of the Czech Republic. The festival consists of more than thirty concerts across 13 towns with the subtitle of « Bohemian Dreams » in the churches, castles, and castle courtyards of the Czech towns.

The Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich stayed twice – in 1960 and 1972 – in the resort municipality Gohrisch in Saxon Switzerland. During his first stay he composed his eighth string quartet in C minor, op. 110. It is now considered one of his most important works, and it has been proven to be the only work Shostakovich composed outside the Soviet Union.

The Blaricum Music Festival is a yearly event, that always takes place around the end of June/beginning of July. The beautiful village of Blaricum is well known for its beautiful natural surroundings and its many monumental farm buildings.
